Cold calling to sell

Is it me getting old and crabby or is the quality of the cold call getting worse? Cold calling by telephone is a dog of a task so I’ve always tried to be polite and give a bit of time to anyone making a reasonable stab at it but the numbers that do so are flagging.

Particularly irksome are the callers who start with “and how are you today Sir?” My standard response is “very busy and in a bad mood” just to see how they cope with it.

I am a business owner and considering if cold call is still good marketing tool.

Usually all the cold calls I get their number gets reported on the smart phone system they seem to use on samsung and then blocked, regardless of what they are selling it is irritating.

I believe it has had its day, too many cold callers scamming people and most people don't need the call and can find anything they need on the phone or computer.

Cold calling had it's day a long time ago, what I find irritating now is all the cheesy emails I get from the banks telling me how they are here for me that is of course until you try to call them and when you do get through the business manager can not see you for 4 weeks.

From a business standpoint there are better ways and more engaging than call colds.

So doing call calling shoud be out of the window right? Other marketing that i can think is through online... but i am not really well equipped with that. There must be and old way of marketing that i still can execute.

I attended roar point marketing and branding masterclass recently... theres a lot of marketing tool that we can use either online or offline. If have the abilities to pay for online marketing you can go for social media ads, if you are low on budget you can use offline marketing like direct mails, sampling bunting. Cold calling also can, but u gotta have better approach.

What i see alot of fellow entrepreneurs just blindly buying ads without knowing if the ads will be directed to the right target. This is a loss for a company.

How was the masterclass? I am looking for one too since i havent gone for a long time. Just to update my knowledge.

Thanks for clarifying that. I think these are the things that i overlooked. I just thought that paying someone to do the marketing for my business is fine, but for some of the marketing tool u listed i can do it myself.

Very comprehensive no blabber like most of other courses i went. I think coz this one is paid thats why is better than free courses la. The trainer is Mr. Long Yun Siang la... some of the important topics for is how to get sales and leads. Also branding, i restructured my branding from the class.

I think very important to go for these masterclass because as a business bodies, we want to minimize loss, and maximize profit, this is where we can find those strategies. The one that i went also shared their own formula, cannot find anywhere else.
